The 2025 International Conference on Modelling, Identification and Control (ICMIC 2025) is sponsored by Qingdao University of Science and Technology (QUST), China. The co-sponsor is Key Laboratory of Knowledge Automation for Industrial Processes of Ministry of Education, University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB), China. It provides an international forum for professionals, academics, and researchers over the world to present latest developments from interdisciplinary theoretical studies, computational algorithm developments and applications. It particularly welcomes those emerging methodologies and techniques related to modeling, identification, signal processing and control, which bridge theoretical studies and applications in all engineering and science branches. QUST has a rich history, with its origins dating back to the Shenyang Light Industry Vocational School, which was established in 1950. In 1956, the school was moved to Qingdao and renamed the Qingdao Rubber Industry School. In 1958, it was upgraded to the Shandong Chemical Industry Institute, and in 1984 and 2002, it was successively renamed the Qingdao Chemical Industry Institute and Qingdao University of Science and Technology. Today, the school has a "five campuses one base" pattern and is a "111 Project" project construction unit, a "strong features" high-level university in Shandong Province, and has been evaluated by the Ministry of Education as an "excellent college for undergraduate teaching work" and a "double 50 strong college for graduate employment and entrepreneurship". It has 5 doctoral first-level disciplines, 5 postdoctoral research, 23 master's first-level disciplines, and 18 master's professional degree categories. It has formed a number of advantage and characteristic disciplinary clusters, such as materials science and engineering, chemical engineering and technology, power engineering and engineering thermophysics, etc., with chemistry, materials science, engineering, environmental science and ecology, and computer science entering the top 1% of the global ESI discipline ranking, with chemistry entering the top 1鈥� of the global ESI discipline ranking. One discipline has been selected for the "811 Project" for the construction of Shandong Province's first-class disciplines.
